The Contra Costa Centre can provide Centre employees with guidance and help in customizing a vanpool group that will suit individual commute requirements from their cities to the Centre. In addition, the Centre can assist a commute group in obtaining their commute van. Through a lease with the Contra Costa Centre, groups are provided with a safe and economical vehicle for organized

groups of six or more individuals who work at the Transit Village.

Depending on the preference of the vanpool group, the vans can range from seating for six, eight or fifteen passengers. The Contra Costa Centre provides all vanpool groups with a AAA card for use in the event of a van-related emergency.

he Contra Costa Centre Association works with 511 Contra Costa providing additional incentive programs such as bonuses for starting a new vanpool, fifty percent off the first three month’s vanpool fare for new vanpool passengers, and participation in the Guaranteed Ride Home Program sponsored by 511 Contra Costa. Vanpools may utilize the HOV diamond lanes on the Bay Area freeways and pass through toll lanes free of charge at specific times Bay Area.

(At the Centre, left to right) As a vanpool passenger, sit back and relax, or get some work done during your commute; the Centre pays for all vanpool commute fuel; commute alternatives are featured at biannual Centre transportation fairs.
